First Burn Matters
Allow your candle to burn for at least 3 hours during the initial use. This creates a full melt pool, preventing tunneling and ensuring a consistent burn in future uses.
Trimming the Wick
Before each use, trim the candle wick to approximately 1/4 inch. This promotes an even burn, minimizes soot, and prevents the wick from mushrooming.
Burn to the Edge
It is important to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar during each use to prevent tunneling and extend the life of your candle.
Avoid Drafts
Position your candles away from drafts to prevent uneven burning. Drafts can cause candles to flicker and burn unevenly, affecting both appearance and performance.
Extinguish Safely
Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out your candle to avoid smoke and hot wax splatter. This ensures a clean and safe extinguishing process.
Mind the Burn Time
Avoid burning candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Excessive burning can lead to overheating and compromise the overall quality of the candle.
Storage Matters
Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their colour, scent, and overall quality.
